A Celebration of Life for Paula Jo Alderson-Williams, 75, of Gilmer, will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Frontier Cowboy Church in Gilmer Texas. The family will receive friends at 12:00 pm, prior to the service.

Paula was born on October 30, 1950, in Gladewater Texas, to Dove and Effie Alderson and passed from this life on May 2, 2026, in Kilgore, Texas.

Paula was a mother to Dusty, mother-in-law to Lesley and Nana to Roper. She was a sister to Mike and a friend to so many.

Paula was a hard-working woman who would come to help at a moment’s notice. She loved riding horses and playing with her dogs. You could always catch her watching rodeo or Texas Rangers baseball. She treasured her family and friends and loved her time with them.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter in law, Dusty and Lesley Williams of Gilmer, and grandson Roper Williams. Her brother Mike Alderson and wife Melvina, along with nieces and nephews, Kimberly Gaza of Kilgore Tx, Kevin Alderson of Longview Tx, and Kelby and Lindsay Alderson of Gladewater TX, along with many great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Dove Alderson, mother Effie Dow-Alderson, grandson Ethan Williams, and many beloved friends and family.
