Rayford Mason Downs

Services for Rayford Manson Downs, 81, of Gilmer, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, October 30, 2010, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with the Rev. Harold Williams and the Rev. J.C. Henderson officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer. Arrangements are by Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Downs died Tuesday, October 26, 2010 in Gilmer. Mr. Downs was born April 21, 1929, in Gilmer. He was a baker and a member of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Betty Sue Downs; sons, Randy Downs and Bobby Downs; daughters, Belinda White, Lana Awbrey, Angela Bayne and Wanda Urias; and sister, Marlene Waycasey. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Friday, October 29, 2010, at the funeral home.
