Services for Retha Mozelle Cooper, 87, of Kilgore and formerly of Gladewater, will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014, at 2 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dick Dobbins officiating. Burial will be in Gladewater Memorial Park. Born on April 6, 1926, in Groesbeck, Texas, to George and Ruth Parsons, she entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. She was a retired RN for LeBus Clinic. A member of the Gladewater First United Methodist Church, she was also a former assistant leader in Campfire Girls. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gail and William Woodard of Kilgore; one granddaughter, Christie Carter and husband, Shawn of Kilgore; one great-granddaughter, Chelsea Carter of Kilgore; four sisters, Neva Skrabanek and Martha Green, both of Kerrville; Carolyn Ivey of Fairfield; and Sylvia Glimp of Burnette; one brother, Robert Arthur of Houston; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Julius Allen Cooper. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Friday, January 10, 2014, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
