Obituary

Richard Wayne Williams passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026, surrounded by his family in Tyler. He was born on July 20, 1948, in Gilmer, Texas to Furman Williams and Eula Lee McBride.

Mr. Willaims worked for Exxon Oil and Gas and as a machinist in a local machine shop.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Furman Williams and Eula Lee McBride of Gilmer, brothers, Charles Williams, James Williams, and sister, Mary Williams all of Gilmer.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Suzy Williams of Tyler, son, David Michael Williams of Houston, son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Angela Williams of Huntsville, grandson and wife, Brandon and Samantha Williams of Arlington.


Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
