Rickye Dossene Swimm Aldaco passed away peacefully on the morning of August 5, 2025, surrounded by her family and friends at her home in Gilmer, Texas.

Rickye was born on September 18, 1951, in Longview, Texas to Richard and Mildred Swimm. She grew up in the Longview area and graduated from Pine Tree High School and went on to further her education at Kilgore College.

She lived in Maryland, El Paso and Ft. Worth before coming back to her roots in East Texas.

She dedicated a remarkable 40 years of her life to serving her community through her career at East Texas Professional Credit Union, where she made a positive impact on many lives. Rickye retired in January 2024, leaving behind a legacy of commitment and care.

While Rickye was the mother of two daughters, Shelly and Jennifer, she was also the proud Granny to Chloe, who became her side kick for 20 years.

Those that knew Rickye loved her and knew her favorite color was purple.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory are her 2 daughters, Shelly (Lacie) Aldaco, Jennifer (Jason) Burke; one granddaughter, Chloe Williams; sisters, Lillian Husband, Charlotte (Bill) Spencer, Ann (Robert) Still; brother, Richard (Ruth) Swimm; her best friend, Janis Holland along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, her past and present work family at ETPCU as well as her grand dogs to whom she loved, especially Ruger.

Rickye was preceded in death by her mother and father; stepmother, Ineta Swimm and one brother, Lou Garrison.

A memorial visitation will be held at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
