Services for Robert E. “Bob” Searer, 80, of Hawkins will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 31, 2017, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Hawkins with Reverend Dave Haver officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Mr. Searer passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017, in Tyler.
Mr. Searer was born October 18, 1936 in Glendive, Montana to the late Ulysses Grant Searer and Louise Marie Gallus Searer. Robert worked as a Rancher and Farmer his entire life. He was a member of the Big Sandy Church of God and will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Mr. Searer was a member of the National Guard. He will truly be missed by all the loving family and friends he leaves behind.
Robert is survived by his wife Donna Searer; three children Randy Searer and wife Kristi, Mark Searer and wife Nina and Samantha Fisher and husband Pete; seven siblings Vernon Searer, Joan Baisch, Jeanette Carter and husband Reid, Betty Moorehouse, Georgia Searer, Bernadette Farmer and Linda Peterson and husband Durwood; seven grandchildren Nathan Searer and wife Victoria, Meghan Dunnan and husband Jake, Amanda Searer, Evan Dowell, Karli Dowell, Timothy Fisher and wife Lynsie and Lauren Fisher; five great grandchildren Carolyn Searer, Rowdy Searer, Ava Searer, Emma Searer and Brandon Searer; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
Mr. Searer is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Emogene Bailey, Virginia Coyan and Patti Searer.
