Ronald John Ray

The only child of John & Jean Ray of Detroit, Michigan. Ronald John Ray, 87 of Gladewater, Texas. Peacefully passed away on April 27, 2025 with family.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joan and their 3 children, Jeannine Eastley (Barry), Nick Ray (Paula), and Elizabeth Zuber (Shawn). He has 3 grandchildren; Amanda Ellingson (Nick), Jessica Dawson (Nathan) and Garrett Zuber. He was proceeded in death by his grandson Nathan Ray (Sara) and granddauaghter Tiffany Zuber. He also has 8 great grandchildren; Eleanora & Everett Ellingson, Indiana & Dutch Dawson, Charlotte, Thomas, Suzanna & John Ray.

Our Dad & Grandpa enjoyed sharing his love of kayaking, hiking, & his special “cooking experiments” with his family and was always up for a new adventure.

During his many years in Lake Havasu City, AZ you could find Ron kayaking, golfing and paddle boarding with friends. He enjoyed walking the Bridgewater Channel or playing music at the Senior Center. His love for gardening carried over when he moved to Gladewater, Tx to be closer to family.

A small family gathering will be held later in the spring.

And now these three remain: Faith, Hope & Love. But the greatest of these is Love. 1 Cor 13:13
