Ronnie Eugene Davidson

Ronnie Eugene Davidson passed away on May 13, 2025, at the age of 82. He was born on February 22, 1943, in Gilmer, Texas to Leslie and Jessie Davidson.

Ronnie married Leah Ray Allen on September 13, 1962. Together, they built a life filled with love and cherished memories.

After serving honorably in the Army from 1962 to 1965, Ronnie began a career as a millwright at Robroy, from which he retired after 37 years.

Ronnie cherished every moment spent with family, particularly teaching his grandchildren how to work on cars and in the garden, leaving them with invaluable skills and memories that will last a lifetime.

Ronnie's passions extended into his hobbies as well, including working in his shop and yard, taking camping trips to Colorado and fishing. He had a knack for creating dune buggies and undertaking many other projects in his shop, showcasing his creativity and craftsmanship.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Greg Davidson and wife Lisa, Kimberly Walker and husband Jesse, Todd Davidson and wife Blair; grandchildren, Lacy Moore and husband Derek, Lana Davidson, Cody Davidson, Seth Walker and wife Viviana, Adam Walker and wife Allie, Katie Norton and husband Nick, Matthew Davidson and Luke Davidson; great grandchildren, Noah Moore, Audrey Moore, Silas Walker, Cade Walker, Sophia Walker and Wesley Norton; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his wife, Leah Davidson; parents, Leslie Duell and Jesse Viola (Dodson) Davidson; brothers, Duell Davidson and Johnnie Davidson; sister, Peggy Manley.

Pallbearers are Cody Davidson, Derek Moore, Matthew Davidson, Luke Davidson, Adam Walker, Seth Walker and Nick Norton.

There will be a visitation on May 16, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, Texas. A funeral service will take place the following day, May 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Enon Baptist Church. Interment will be held at Enon Cemetery.
