Ronny Dean Kerr, Sr. was born on May 19, 1954, in Ft. Eustice, Virginia and passed away on March 29, 2026, in Gilmer, Texas. Ronny was a proud retired Peace Officer who served his community in both Gladewater and Gilmer with dedication and honor. 

Throughout his life, Ronny enjoyed many simple pleasures. He loved fishing and shooting, often spending time outdoors. Most importantly, he treasured being with his family and grandchildren. He was known for his quick wit, sense of humor and his love of singing, bringing joy and laughter to those around him. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jacqueline Kerr; son, Ronny Dean Kerr, Jr. and wife Kimberly; daughter, Jesica Nichole Emory and husband Kevin; grandchildren, Carson Amburn and husband Adam, John Wilson, Reagan Kerr, James Wilson and fiancé Camri Lavigne, Ashleigh Emory, Robin Kerr and significant other, Cameron Cortinas, Makayla Anders and husband Christian, Samantha Kerr, Summer Kerr, Jesse Kerr and Isabella Kerr, along with one great grandchild, Emerson Amburn.

 Ronny is preceded in death by his grandson, Jerald Wayne Kerr.

 A memorial service will be at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer.
