Rose Ann McFatridge, 93, of Longview, Texas, passed away on October 23, 2026. Born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1933, in Ennis, Texas, to John Honza and Ann Honza Mullins, she graduated from Ennis High School in 1951.

Family was at the heart of Rose’s life. She and Lamar Carter shared four children: Teresa, Kathleen, Carl, and Kelly. She later welcomed daughter Kimberly with Joe Bob Holcomb. In 1969, she married Charley McFatridge, and together they raised Henry and Cindy.

A devoted homemaker and accomplished seamstress, Rose enjoyed reading, working jigsaw puzzles, watching westerns, and spending time with her family. Her quiet strength and unwavering devotion to those she loved will be fondly remembered.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charley McFatridge; son, Carl Carter; mother, Anne Mullins; father, John Honza; brothers, Bill and Henry Honza; and sisters, Marjorie Foster and Sharlotte Wheeler.

She is survived by her children, Teresa Marshall and husband Ron of Liberty Hill, Kathleen Plant of Crandall, Kelly Carter of Gilmer, Kimberly Jordan of Longview, Douglas McFatridge and wife Linda of Wharton, and Cindy Evans of Diana; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Rose was very much loved by her family and will be deeply missed.

A graveside service will be held at Ashland Cemetery on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 1:00 PM.
