Rosetta Gilliam

Rosetta Gilliam, 78, of Gilmer, Texas, went home to her Lord on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, passing from this earthly life peacefully in Longview, Texas.

Rosetta was born April 13, 1944, in DeWitt, Arkansas, to Zenas Franklin and Lula Nadine Hill Vernor. She was married to Burley"Scooter" Gilliam. She enjoyed playing Bingo, fishing, tending to flowers and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, "Scooter" Gilliam; and a brother, Billy Vernor.

Survivors include her sons, Norman Paul Johnson and wife, Tena, Kenneth Johnson; daughters, Teresa Applegate and husband, Larry, Lindsi Johnson; sisters, Joyce Reed and husband, Roy, Mary Lue and husband, Pete; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and extended family and friends.

Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, March 19, 2023, at the Church of Power with Bro. Larry Gilliam officiating. Interment will follow at Morris Cemetery. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 Pm at the church.
