In Loving Memory:

Sharon Lee Franklin, 66, of Ore City passed away Friday October 27, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
 
Sharon Franklin, was born on September 16, 1957 in Dearborn, MI, to Raymond Lee Koon and Orpha Lee McNew Williams

Sharon's journey began in Michigan, where she was raised by her loving mother, Opha Williams (McNew) and step father, Homer Williams. Though she encountered obstacles along the way, Sharon's determination shone through, demonstrating an unwavering strength and resilience.

At fifteen years old, Sharon  decided to move to East Texas where the "Apple of her Eye" her precious uncle Elijah McNew lived.  Sharon pursued a career as a Customer Service Representative and later transitioned into managing convenient stores, including notable employers such as Walmart and Stop A Minute stores. Through her dedication and hard work, she made a positive impact on both her colleagues and customers.

Sharon's true joy in life, however, came from being a mother to her three children, Charlie Franklin, Melissa Franklin and Tim Franklin. She cherished every moment spent with them, instilling in them the values of kindness, determination, and compassion.

Sharon was loved and admired by those who knew her best. Friends and family were drawn to her infectious laughter, zest for life, and her remarkable ability to make anyone feel welcome and loved. Her warm smile could light up any room she entered, and her genuine nature endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Sharon is survived by her mother Orpha Williams and step father Homer Williams, her two children; Tim Franklin and Melissa Franklin, and her eight grandchildren; Kylie Franklin, Braylon Franklin, Brady Franklin, Addi Franklin, Kaleb Hebert, Noah Hebert, Shayla Garner( Josh) and Lilly Franklin, one great grandchild; Evelyn Garner.
 
Sharon was preceded in death by her paternal father Raymond Lee Koon, her son Charlie Franklin, her sister Dreama Williams, and her uncle Elijah McNew. 

Though Sharon may no longer be with us physically, her spirit will forever live on in the hearts and minds of those who adored her. Her memory will continue to be a beacon of light, guiding us through both joyful and challenging moments.

Sharon Lee Franklin, our dearest friend, mother, and daughter, may you rest peacefully knowing the profound impact you had on those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with you. You will be deeply missed but remembered fondly as we carry your legacy of love and warmth within us.

Forever in our hearts, always in our memories. Rest in peace, dear Sharon.
