Steven Ray Shankles

Steven Ray Shankles, 65, of Diana, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Steven was born June 24, 1956 in Texarkana, Arkansas. He was a son, husband, dad, grandpa and papaw who will be greatly missed.

He had many passions in life some of which included his gardening, fishing, flight simulator, telling stories (he was a talker once he got to know you), but his biggest passion was riding in the wind on his Harley!!!

He is survived by his wife Sharon of 46 years, daughter, Natasha (Chris) Howell, son, Christopher (Viki) Shankles, two granddaughters; Jaidyn and Kinsley, brother, Rickey, four sisters; Jackie Maris, Shelia Roberts, Deena Boudreaux, Kimberly Fails and extended family; Ricky, Kassi, Kalei and Nikolas Santoy.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ferris Ray Shankles and brothers; Paul, David and Randy.
