Terri Witt, 73, passed away peacefully at home on September 12, 2026. Terri was born November 14, 1952, in Longview, Texas, to Edwin Lee Rowland and Betty Sue Wright.

Terri married Ronald David Witt on September 3, 1971, recently celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary. Together they built their home and raised their three sons in White Oak, Texas.

Terri discovered early on her passion for teaching. After graduating from UT Tyler, she dedicated her entire career to Union Grove Schools, serving as a teacher, mentor, and friend to generations of students. Her devotion was evident in the lasting relationships she built with so many of those “babies” throughout her life.

Terri is survived by her husband, Ron Witt of White Oak; sons Eric David Witt and wife Desiree of Midland, TX, Matthew Zachery Witt and wife Lisa of Lavon, TX, and Joshua Lucas Witt and wife Julie of Haymarket, VA; grandchildren Brandon, Karli, Sheldon, Keaton, Calla, Parker, Lucas, Alexis, and Andrew; and great-grandchildren Avery, Aiden, Abel, Koda, and Norah.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Brit and Eunice Wright; her parents, Edwin Rowland and Betty Sue Rowland Pope; her stepfather, Richard Pope; sisters Patricia Rowland and Monica Townsend; and uncles Harold Wright and Loy Wright.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Funeral services will follow the next morning, Friday, September 18, 2026, at 10:00 AM, in the Chapel of Croley Funeral Home.
