Thomas Curtis

Thomas Curtis Thomas (TC) Curtis of Gilmer left this world to join his loving Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 5, 2011. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at Pine Acres Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Ken Montgomery presiding at a later date. TC was born on January 13, 1950 in Longview, Texas to Arthur and Juanita Mullins Curtis and a resident of Upshur County since 1973. He was a U. S. Army Veteran, a truck driver for many years and a remodeling construction contractor. Mr. Curtis was a member of Pine Acres Missionary Baptist Church where he served as Song Leader and Sunday School Superintendent. He felt very blessed by being able to work for the Lord and for having such a loving church family. He was also active in the Gilmer Youth Baseball program for many years, coaching as well as serving on the board of directors. He was preceded in death ghe his parents and a brother, Arthur Curtis. His survivors include his wife and best friend, Cathy (Kate) Curtis, and family whom he dearly loved; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Brianna Curtis and precious grandchildren, Alyssa, Katyn, Dru and Cash Curtis and Kai Morris. Also surviving are brothers, Sam, Ronald, Donald and Jesse Curtis. In lieu of flowers at the time of his memorial service, TC requested that donations be made to Pine Acres Missionary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 916, Gilmer, Texas 75644.
