Obituary

Tina Dillard Emmel of Diana, Texas, 62, peacefully passed away on April 15, 2026, in Longview, Texas.

Her parents were Barney Dillard and Juanita Logan Dillard Bordeaux. She was born in Dallas, Texas on December 4, 1963. She was preceded in death by her Husband Steve Emmel and also her daughter, Whitney Emmel Petrick. Surviving Tina are her brother, Curtis Bordeaux of Diana and her aunt, Linda Logan Warrington of Whitewright, Texas. She is also survived by two granddaughters and a special Grandson.

Tina filled her life being a daughter, wife and mother, sister, grandchild, niece, and friend. She worked at various jobs throughout her life, with being a retail clerk at area convenience stores during the last Several years of her life. She found a select cluster of friends with whom she shared a meaningful bond of friendship. Tina struggled and lived with chronic health issues for many years of her life and is now healed.

Tina was a person of faith and often commented that her best friend was Jesus. “Me and Jesus” she Often said. She has now Seen, not just Met Jesus, who is our link between this world and the next.

Graveside service for Tina will be Friday, April 24, 2026, at Gilmer City Cemetery starting at 1:00 P.M. The family thanks Croley Funeral Home for their assistance in this time of need.
