Troy Lee "Cotton" Jones

DIANA: Memorial services for Troy Lee “Cotton” Jones, 77, of Diana will be Monday, February 19, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. He passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in a Longview hospital.

“Cotton” was born January 10, 1941 in Diana, Texas to Edward and Gertrude Jones. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and later worked as a machinist at Letourneau and Lone Star Steel. He was a member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Longview. On September 1, 1962, he married Wanda Nell Westbrook in Longview.

“Cotton” is survived by his wife, Wanda Jones, son: Mitchael Scott Jones, daughter: Dana Michelle Jones Adler, grandchildren: Kayla Ann Souder and husband Kasey, Morgan Stermer and husband Chance, Grant Adler and Logan Jones, great-grandchildren: Eversyn Souder and Easton Souder, sister: Gail Szontagh and husband Laszlo and several nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson: Caleb Scott Jones, brothers: Tommie, Travis, and Tracy Jones and sister: Norma Ruth Jones.
