Trudy Fay Palmer was born on May 25, 1942, in Gilmer, Texas and passed away on May 5, 2026, in Longview, Texas. Trudy lived a life marked by dedication and service, having worked as a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) before retiring.

Trudy was known for her strong Baptist faith, which was an important part of her life and character. She found comfort and strength in her beliefs throughout her journey.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Lisa Gates, and her husband Dennis; brother, Lige Edward Bailey; cousin, Scott Freudenburg, and his wife Cindy. Trudy’s love extended to numerous grandchildren, who carry on her memory warmly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Truman E. Bailey and Bonnie F. Robinson Bailey, her husband Jack W. Palmer, and her son Anthony Palmer.

Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of Trudy at a visitation on May 11, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, Texas. This will be followed by a graveside service at Enon Cemetery in Gilmer, Texas, at 2:00 PM on the same day.
