Virgil Thomas Martin Gladewater " Services for Virgil Thomas Martin, 85, of Longview, will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2011, at 2 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Dean Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Gladewater Memorial Park. Born on February 8, 1926, in Blossom, Texas, he died on Friday, September 30, 2011. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Nazarene church. He is survived by his wife, Mozell Martin of East Mountain; son, W. Stephen Martin of Garden Ridge, Texas; 2 grandchildren; brother, James Martin of Midland; and sister, Janette Bunker of Mountain View, Arkansas. The family will receive friends from noon until service time on Saturday, October 1, 2011, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
