Graveside services for William H. Thomas, 79, of Gilmer will be held 10:00 A.M, Friday, October 12, 2012 at Willow Oak Cemetery with Pastor Joe McCrary officiating under the direction of Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer. Mr. Thomas passed away Monday, October 08, 2012, in Longview. He was born on October 7, 1933, in Arkansas, to Willis Edward and Susie Ann Shepard Thomas. Mr. Thomas served in the U. S. Army. He was a garment factory director for Wal-Mart and a member of the Assembly of God Church. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Thomas of Blooming Grove, Texas; son, Dale Thomas of Lavaca, Ark.; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and J. P. McLeroy of Gilmer, Joyce and Johnny Thompson of Lavaca, Ark.; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn Sue and Jerry Langley of Alma, Ark., sister, Eddie Louise Myers of Ponchatoula, LA.; grandchildren, Amanda Penny, Rhonda Dunn, Jason Thompson, Chris Thompson, Tristan McLeroy, Matthew Sandison, Grace Neighbors, Shayla Thompson, Addison Thompson, Justin Brady Thompson, Charlee Dunn and Kennedee Dunn. Pallbearers are Tristan McLeroy, Matthew Sandison, Chris Thompson, T.J. Lee, Dakota Dudley and Joseph Day. Honorary Pallbearers are Jason Thompson, Matt Dunn, Brad Penny and Russel Melton. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 11, 2012, 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home.
