William “Willie” Snow Murchison, 56, of Gladewater, passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 4, 2026. Born on August 8, 1969, Willie was the son of Bruce “Curly” Murchison and Emma Catherine Murchison.

Willie was widely known as one of the finest pump jack mechanists around and took great pride in his work. Outside of work, he found his greatest joy fishing at the river and spending time with his friends, sons, and grandchildren. Willie will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love for family, and the many memories he created with those closest to him.

He was a beloved brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Willie is survived by his brothers, David Murchison and wife Melody, Charles Murchison and wife Karen, Michael Murchison, and Bruce Murchison; his sons, Austin Murchison and wife Caci, and Loftin Murchison and wife Kenzie; and his seven cherished grandchildren: River, Luke, Collin, Alice, Karsyn, Jensen, and Kynlee. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce “Curly” Murchison and Emma Catherine Murchison; his sister, Cindy Williams; Joy “Mamaw” Higginbotham; and Jace Adkinson.
