William Shannon Wood

Mr. William Shannon Wood of Gilmer, passed away in Longview on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. Shannon was born in Geneva, Alabama on May 31, 1970 to the late William "Buster" and Donna Johnson Wood. Shannon proudly served his country in the United States Army and then later worked in drywall construction for many years. He will be greatly missed by all the friends and family members he leaves behind.

Those left behind to cherish Shannon's memory are his daughter, Ashley Wood and Tucker Wilson of Longview; brothers Billy Wood and wife Jancy of Gilmer and Shane Wood and wife Tracy of Gladewater; as well as his sister Donna Lee Wood of Gilmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside service for Shannon will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Gladewater Memorial Park with Bro. Eddie Jones officiating and under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday, February 10, 2023 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
